Bathroom Remodel Ideas For 2020 Renovations

With tax return season just a few months away, it’s time to start thinking about the renovations you plan on making to your home! Perhaps you are considering an outdoor patio or granite for your kitchen counters. If you happen to be pondering a bathroom remodel, you will find this blog post rather insightful! Whether you are modernizing an older design or bumping up the resale value of your home, here are a few trends that we expect to be rather popular in 2020.

Space Saving Solutions

While space in Myrtle Beach and along the Grand Strand isn’t quite as much of a luxury as it is in major cities across the country, it’s still something that should be considered when remodeling a bathroom. One way to gain extra space is by ditching the bathtub for an open shower. Unless you were fortunate enough to build a custom home, there is a very good chance that your master bathroom consists of a tub that is slightly too small to truly relax in and a shower that is a bit awkward. Wouldn’t something like this look nice in place of what you have?

The Classic White Bathroom

Sure, some trends may come and go, but the classic white bathroom will never vanish! This style is one of the safest design choices because it will be trendy no matter what happens. The addition of marble and a minimalist approach is what is trending in 2020, as well as heavy industrial-style fixtures. Here is a sample of a classic white bathroom that we successfully remodeled for a recent client:

A Freestanding Bathtub

No romantic film is complete without a scene with the female lead taking a long soak in her bathtub. If you enjoy baths (or want to!), consider adding a standalone tub to your bathroom. While once reserved for larger bathrooms, a freestanding bathtub has gained traction in any size over the past few months. No longer will you have to be content with your shower-tub hybrid!

Brighten Up Your Bathroom!

Whites and grays can be nice, but why not add a pop of color to your lavatory? Now, we aren’t saying to go overboard and introduce neon pinks and purples, but colors like yellow, aqua blue (see below) and even orange can be a nice touch. Utilize light fixtures or even a plant (if you have the space) to break up the solid colors.
