Leaving yourself an opening to not have to leave your home, or disrupt you natural routine with renovations can be a huge plus for your mental state during your renovation.
• Easier on your budget. Spacing projects out allows you to spread costs over time, which can be easier on your finances. This means that you can budget out each bathroom when you’re ready, instead of struggling to may a large renovation cost upfront.

Cons:

• Longer total timeline. Of course, waiting more in between projects means that it may turn a several weeks long project to complete several bathrooms at once, could turn into months and months of constant renovation mess and disrupted rooms.
• Possible cost increases. As of summer 2025, the price of everything is going up. That includes material and labor prices for your renovation projects. Because of that, these prices can go up even more the longer you wait, meaning that budgeting each project months apart can also cause it be possibly be more expensive in the end.
• Extended disruption. Leaving projects to come one after another can make your home feel like it is constantly a construction zone. Because of that, it can feel like ages before your home starts to feel clean and comfortable again.

Is there one that wasn’t being remodeled? Or is there a situation where you may have to plan other sleeping arrangements for the duration of the remodeling project?

• Higher upfront investment. Paying for all the work at once requires a larger budget. If you’re looking for a better budgeting or payment plan, this may not be the best option for remodeling.

• More decisions at once. If you’re planning a relaxing and centered remodel, focusing on several rooms at once can pose a bit of a challenge. Choosing all the fixtures, finishes, and layouts simultaneously for individual rooms with different aesthetics can feel a bit overwhelming.

How to Choose the Right Approach

When you’re figuring out how to remodel your bathrooms, start by thinking about how your household will function during the project. After all, this can be one of the major deciding factors for you. If you have extra bathrooms to use, tackling them all at once could work just fine. But if losing more than one would throw your daily routine into chaos, it might be better to handle them one at a time so everyone still has a space to get ready in the morning.
